Are You Ready For The Harlem Ambassadors Game?

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week, and if you are based in Charlotte, you survived the snow and ice!

We here at the GALA Foundation are still busy with the Harlem Ambassadors, and gearing up for the game. We want to send a big shout out to Earth Fare in South Park, and the Quail Corners Harris Teeter. These two establishments have agreed to let us sell tickets to the game at their stores, and we are very excited about this opportunity. If you want to come out and buy tickets, we will be at the Quail Corners Harris Teeter (8538 Park Rd Charlotte, NC 28210) on Friday, January 28th from 4pm-8pm and tentatively we are scheduled to be at Earth Fare in South Park (721 Governor Morrison Street Suite 110, Charlotte, North Carolina 28211) on Saturday February 5th, and Sunday February 6th from 2pm-5pm. If you are unable to make it to one of these locations, feel free to contact us, and we will make sure to get those tickets out to you.

We are pleased to announce that our team is shaping up nicely and we have a few figures on the team that you may recognize.

Harold Cogdell Jr. is on the Board of County Commissioners, and previously served on the City Council. He previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s office, before founding the Law Offices of Harold Cogdell, Jr., P.C.

The Honorable Judge Louis A. Trosch, Jr., has long been an advocate for children. He has served as District Court Judge in the Juvenile and Family Courts since 1999. He is currently a District Court Judge in the 26th Judicial District in Mecklenburg County. Judge Trosch has previously worked as an attorney at the Children’s Law Center. According to his bio he has played an integral part in the development of many programs to improve the lives of children in Mecklenburg County. For more information on the Honorable Judge Trosch, please read his bio.

In addition to these public figures, we also have two Guardian ad Litem volunteers, one of whom is a former foster youth, and two supporters of Guardian ad Litem. We are very happy to be getting our team put together but we still need help! Let us know if you want to join the team! No experience in necessary!
